Contribute to the development of instrument, cartridges, and supporting tools for sterility testing of CAR-T therapie, enabling quality control closer to the patient.
Job description
At miDiagnostics, we are transforming how cell therapies are tested and released. Our rapid, real-time PCR-based sterility test is designed to bring quality control closer to the patient — faster, safer, and smarter.
As part of our Engineering team, you will contribute to the design and development of the miDiagnostics instrument, cartridges, and supporting tools that enable advanced molecular testing workflows.
At miDiagnostics, you will work in a dynamic, cross-functional environment where innovation meets precision. This is a great opportunity for a motivated engineer who wants to grow technical expertise while contributing to products that make a real impact on healthcare.
In this role, you will:
· Design, prototype, and improve mechanical systems and components for diagnostic instruments and disposables.
· Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and suppliers to develop and evaluate engineering test rigs at both component and subsystem levels.
· Conduct research, analyze data, and present findings and recommendations clearly in team discussions and reports.
· Develop concept, design, and test documentation to support product verification and validation.
· Support the selection of materials, tools, and manufacturing processes for efficient product realization.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Applied Sciences, or Bioengineering, with 1–3 years of experience in product development.
Proficiency in 3D CAD design (SolidWorks or equivalent) and hands-on experience with prototyping and testing.
Strong technical foundation in mechanical design, concept generation, and analysis.
Understanding of design for manufacturability (DFM), design control, and verification and validation principles (ISO 13485 and ISO 14971 are a plus).
Familiarity with electromechanical systems, biochemical assay integration, or automation is an advantage.
Analytical and creative problem solver with a practical, detail-oriented approach.
Clear communicator who enjoys teamwork in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Motivated to learn, grow, and take on new technical challenges in a fast-paced setting.
